I entitled the fourth book in the Cache Iron mystery series Charged Iron. I originally named the book The Patron and was to be the first in a series of novellas about our protagonist Cache Iron, but during the writing process, the book morphed into a novel.
The story takes place in the fictional town of Penistone, Georgia, where billionaire Benjamin Bradford was found dead by apparent natural causes. Or was it? Lucky for Benjamin, his close friend and executor Graydon Quill has a top-notch private investigator on his payroll.
Cache finds herself immersed in the world of the rich and famous, hunting for clues as to what could have happened. Her travels will take her to the sleepy town of New Bryden, South Carolina, to the picturesque village of Parry Eden, South Carolina and the famed coastal surroundings of RumBounty Island. She will interact with the grieving daughter Elizabeth Bradford-Szare, the socialite Lady Cornelia Aprioch-Bradford, Jeremy Jackson the landscaper, Jason Damat the business manager and a host of staff that help keep the large estate in Penistone operational.
Currently, Charged Iron is in the final stages of the second draft. Having completed the first significant read through, there are many notes in the margins that now need to find there way into the original manuscript before we can begin the third draft review process.
Charged Iron is expected to be published in the fall of 2022 and will be followed up by a special publication for our author's notes subscribers, "Candy Coated Iron" and then the novel Iron Cross expected to be published in 2023.
